Akoustone was founded in 2018 by Engineer Johnny Yammine, driven by his
deep knowledge and expertise in acoustics. Holding a master's degree in
acoustics and having extensively studied European acoustic standards,
Eng. Yammine identified a need for innovative acoustic solutions in the
market. This led to the development of a unique material—a manufactured
stone primarily composed of concrete with exceptional acoustic
absorption properties. Designed to serve as an internal acoustic
solution, this material is ideal for projects requiring a real stone
finish, such as antique buildings, churches, mosques, and similar
structures.
The invention was groundbreaking, and recognizing its potential, Eng.
Yammine secured a patent for the material. Thus, Akoustone was born, an
abbreviation for "acoustic stone," a name that was also registered as a
trademark.
