Located in Byblos, Lebanon, Chapter One Club is a unique outdoor nightlife destination that blends the city’s rich historical charm with a modern and vibrant atmosphere. Set against the stunning backdrop of Byblos, the club offers an open-air experience where guests can enjoy lively nights filled with music, entertainment, and an exceptional ambiance.
For the Chapter One Club project, Akoustone conducted a detailed outdoor noise propagation study, which involved comprehensive noise surveys and precise acoustic measurements to evaluate sound levels and potential impacts on the surrounding environment, particularly adjacent residential areas. Utilizing the data collected, we performed advanced modeling to predict sound behavior and identify optimal locations for acoustic barriers. The construction location, height, and angles of these barriers were carefully designed to optimize sound insulation through strategic sound refraction at the barrier boundaries. By adjusting the heights to address sound dispersion and specifying angles to direct sound away from sensitive areas, we ensured that the barriers effectively reduced sound transmission while maintaining the club’s dynamic outdoor experience. This solution successfully limited outdoor sound propagation to acceptable levels, ensuring compliance with noise regulations while preserving the vibrant atmosphere of the club.
